The challenge
Traceability through finished goods handling
Finished medical devices require batch, expiry-date and UDI traceability. The project addresses batch mix-ups and shipping errors during finished goods movement.

The solution
Connected pallet storage and robotic handling
Four-way shuttles, automated palletizers and AGVs connect finished goods storage and handling. First-in, first-out management and near-expiry alerts support inventory control.

Project configuration
- Storage and palletizing equipment
- 5 four-way shuttles and 2 automated palletizers
- Workstations and handling
- 2+2 workstations connected to AGV handling
- Average mixed-operation throughput
- 20 pallets/h per shuttle
- Inventory control and integration
- First-in, first-out management and near-expiry alerts; ERP and MES integration
